When my phone is off, it can not get calls. How do I make it still be able to get calls when it is off?

The only ways calls are getting in are when it is on, or in sleep mode (phone on, screen goes black after 3 seconds).

Thanks.

You don't power off your phone. When any phone is powered off, it will not receive calls. Just let it sleep and charge it when needed.

Your phone sounds like it is acting normally.

Is there a locking function then? Because if I leave it on, and stuff it into my pocket, random stuff will be pressed.

Thanks. It is my first cell phone. So I did not know of terms like "key lock." And I bought it used. Therefore, no manual.

You can download the manual for the Nokia 1661 at:
https://www.speakout7eleven.ca/asset/upload/phone-user-guide/SpeakOut-Nokia-1661-User-Guide.pdf

Since you're new to mobile phones, the manual is worth reading. You'll probably learn about other cell phone features that are "obvious" to long-time users, but will be news to you (as you discovered with the "key lock" feature, which all cell phones have had for many years).

Have fun!
