Has anyone figured out all these security features on this phone? It is so convoluted it is not even funny.
There are security codes, access codes, pin codes, pin2 codes, phone security, memory security, etc etc.
All I want is to set the phone to have a password to open, so that someone can't access it if I were to forget it somewhere. I realize that means I have to enter a password every time I go to use the phone, I have no problem with that.
I would just like to know if someone else has this figured out. I know the default code, and can figure out where to change it, but then it asks to to change othr codes as well, and asks you for another code that does not seem to be correct, and says you have 3 more tries?
I just want to change the code, and set it up to require an unlock code, without screwing up the rest of the phone.
Has anyone figured this out?

I don't have the security option enabled on my C3, but I think I found where to set this option.
Do Menu -> Settings -> Security -> PIN code request
If you wait about 10 seconds, you'll see the following help message:
"Allows you to select whether a code is required when switching on your phone. The SIM card may require that code is always asked for."
I assume you can just set the "PIN code request" option to "on". It might then ask you to set a PIN --- I didn't go that route, because I didn't want to enable the PIN function on my phone. There is (probably) a default PIN,
