I just got this Nokie 2760 flip phone and found out that when I closed my flip, my call or application will not ended. It will still running in the background. It doesn't matter I set the Menu\\Phone\\FOLD CLOSE HANDLING to No effect or Standby. I want the phone to end all applications or call when fold is closed, how can I do that? Called Nokia support and was told that must press the red button to end call. I got this flip phone because I thought I can closed fold to end call. If I knew, I won't buy this phone. Anyone know how to fix this problemt? PLEASE HELP.

It's not configurable. You can't end calls just by closing the flip. You must push the red button to end the call.

Are you talking about hanging up after a conversation when you say "hang up" because when I make a call with that phone, and then close the phone without pushing the red button i get a message on my mini display which gives me the call summary, and my call has been disconnected. So unless your talking about something else I don't seem to have this problem

He means when you close the flip phone can you end the call, applications etc. No you cant end the call, applications etc. just by closing the phone. I tried it on my 2760 to figure how but it's not configurable. Flip phones are just phones that can flip (only the design), it won't close applications. If you got the flip phone because you thought it would close all applications, calls etc. then return it and save your $50 and just get the basic Nokia 1600 (Free!!) but still the Nokia 2760 is much better then the 1600.
EDIT : yes actually you CAN close it by I just set the setting to : Fold Close To Standby.

To end all applications when closing flip, go to Menu -> Settings -> Phone -> Fold close handling, then set "go to standby". It will close all apps (except radio) when closing phone.
As for calls, no you can't end call by closing. It is not a feature on the phone. Maybe there is a patch/program that can be downloaded and installed on the phone??
Until then, press the red button before flipping.

I just bought a 2760 yesterday. If you use an application in the midway, you cannot end these application by close the flip. But if you just browse the features, you can back to standby mode by closing the flip. When I was finished to talk to someone in the call, I just simply close the flip and the call was ended. FOR SURE. I just simply set the Fold Close To Standby.
