Question about SO and iPhone 4/4s | Phone/Device Issues and Features | Consumer forum

Alright, so I know there are probbly some topics on this but i am not at home an need to post this quick..

So i am getting an iPhone 4 or a 4s on friday an really would rather to get a pre-paid plan then a monthly contract plan..

So i am wondering the data usage on a iPhone with SO,
Will it run apps like Youtube/instagram/facebook/twitter ect?

and what would the pros / cons be of using SO insted of lets say Virgin mobiles pre-paid ..
