Does anyone have a solution for this? I switched from Rogers to SO. At the beginning I could make outgoing calls and receive calls. Just yesterday I couldn't make outgoing calls anymore. It says "network busy", but I can still receive calls. I did a search on line and some sites mentioned it's because the phone is on a 3G not GSM and I need to change it but only way to do that is to debrand the phone. Tried to debrand the phone, no success!
Why would the phone work one day and stop the next? I think my only option is to bring it to a store to try to get the phone debranded. Will this really help?

First thing I would do is throw your SIM in to an original SO phone and confirm that tis is an issue with your phone and not your account. If you can make and receive calls, then you know that its an issue with your phone. If that is the case, more than likely Rogers is seeing that your Phone is 3G and blocking it from running on 2G. As your phone is not supported, you are kind of on your own to figure out a workaround.

Thanks, I have tried calls on the speakout phone and there's no issue. I called Rogers support today and they said it's the w760a phone. Because it's locked with Rogers it's locked to the 3G. But if I got it unlocked then I would have the feature where I could switch it to GSM and I wouldn't have to have it debranded. Not sure who's right. I prefer not to unbrand. One store I dropped into said it would take 2 days and cost me $40. Strange thing is I'm downtown T.O. right now and it's working, I can actually make outgoing calls and the 3G symbol is now showing.
