Hi, I've been using my Samsung Galaxy S i9000 for a while on speak out with no issues. Data was working fine until about 2 weeks ago. We had a huge festival come to town, so I thought maybe the edge went down for a while or something. But now I'm pretty sure it's a speakout or phone issue. I live just north of Vancouver. I phoned speak out and they 'reset' my data connection. They also told me that there is no guarantee that my phone will work with their data and it may be broken forever because my 3rd party phone is incapable of receiving 'updates'. Don't they sell sim cards now? ...

Anyway, just wondering if anyone else is having problems and if there is a fix. I've been using the following settings for almost a year now.

Use settings:
Name: Speak Out
APN: goam.com
Proxy: 10.128.1.69
Port: 80
Username: wapuser1
Password: wap
MMSC: http:/mms.gprs.rogers.com
MMS proxy: 10.128.1.69
MMS port: 80
MCC: 302
MNC: 720
Authentication type: None
APN type: Internet + mms

I tried com.speakout.wireless like one user said. Nothing is working.

Arggg. After 2 months of no data on my phone and many trips to the forum and calls to speakout technical support. I finally dedicated a day to my phone, android update and what-not. Anyway data still didn't work, but I was fooling around enabling settings trying different combinations.

"Use packet data" when checked solved my problem

I don't remember this ever being checked, but maybe I unchecked it somehow a while back. Now that it's checked data is working again.....

Such a simple fix... can't believe i lived without data for 2 months because of this!
