I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 x (Model SGH-T989D) through Koodo on HSPA coverage.
I have an unlock code.
I bought the wrong sim card (micro sd) and tried it. Didn't fit properly, I registered it, but nothing happened. Exchanged for the right one.
When I insert the correct sim card, it shows "Unregistered Sim Card". However no screen shows where I can put in my unlock code. I checked settings, more.., mobile networks, access point names. It showed Rogers with itemobile.apn below it. There is a faded button beside it. I haven't pressed it.
Do I need to register/activate the sim card first? Then maybe when inserted, a window will show to insert unlock code?
Thanks!

I did manage to remove it by pushing the end with a paper clip so I could slid it out.
I headed back to 711 and they exchanged it for the right size sim card.
Steps taken so far... Phone turned off, inserted right size sim card, turned on phone. It shows "unregistered sim card" I'm assuming I need to register/activate the sim card first through speak out, then insert it, and a window should pop up to punch in unlock code???
I did register the micro sim card (the wrong size one) received a phone number, prior to getting the proper card. Stupid I know. When you register, it ask for your IMEI number which I did. Now that I am registering the proper size sim card, will it work with the phone because I already registered IMEI with other sim card?
Thanks for your help!
