On the unlimited browsing bundle, had any guru tried to run the SIP client such as Fringe on it?

Got a free sip phone number, wonder if it is capable run on a smart phone with the unlimited browsing of SpeakOut.

Thanks

Only through wifi mode! It will not work through Speakout at all. SIP is rather hopeless when it comes to firewalls.

Fring is garbage. It is flaky at the best of times, with the best of connections.

Just being nosey, but who is your sip provider?

As a low budget guy, It is freephoneline for sure.

Now I am running it thru a portable internet modem(512k) , it works well.

Hi do you have the SIP settings for freephoneline? or are you just running their desktop client on your computer?
The last time I checked, the ways you could run their service was the free desktop client from their download or by buying one of their ATA boxes and/or by paying for their settings for your own SIP box.
Their prices weren't outrageous, but they did remove "free" from the equation.
If the SIP settings are available could you either post the location or send me a PM?

I bring my own ATA, and purchased the SIP setting from FPL.

My ATA is different from they provided.so the setting is for my own device.

I use grandstream HT-502.
