SO and TracFone combi

Is there an unlocked phone out there that I could use in summer with SO and in winter down south with TracFone? Basically looking for a plain phone as I use iPod and PlayBook at wifi locations for other stuff.

No, and you can not use any other provider's sim card in a Tracfone. Tracfone uses it's own propriety software/firmware. A Tracfone sim will only work with the phone that it was originally activated with.

I use a t-mobile nokia 5230 , unlock code from them, with SO and with t-mobile when I visit the US. T-mobile has good prepaid terms especially when you get 'gold' status after $100.
10/year keeps you live for 365 when gold.
Or look into an ekit sim for an unlocked phone. Good rates there also.
