I am new to this site.

My wife and I have decided to gas Bell mobility (thanks to what I have read on this forum). Today I purchased 2 Rogers Nokia C3s at Best Buy ($59.99 each until January 6) went to 7 - Eleven and bought 2 - $100 SpeakOut pre-paid vouchers and got 2 Nokia 1661s for free (promo until December 31). I want to use the SIMs from the 1661s in the C3s.

I have not yet activated with SO. I'm not sure of the proper procedure. Should I activate the 1661s with the SO SIMs and then insert the activated SIMs in the C3s or do I insert the unactivated SO SIMS in the C3s and then activate with SO?

Not sure if this belongs in this forum but here I go...with a Belleville / Trenton cell number (613 area code) what is my local calling area? I see the Moderator from Niagara Falls has a wide local calling area (905, 416 and 519)...will I be that lucky?

Thanks in advance...

Just to be safe, I would activate the SIM's inside the Nokia 1661's, then transfer them to your C3's, just to be safe, and make sure the activation went smoothly. You can activate right on the SpeakOut site now.

To see what area codes are included in your local calling area, there is a link on the home page of this site. Look for the link that says "this grid". Local calling areas are based on the area code the phone was activated in. That is another reason I signed up with SpeakOut. Their calling area is huge. Much bigger that any other provider that I know of.

Thanks ian.

I haven't decided whether to port my old numbers over from Bell...I'll sleep on it and then activate.
