Hi, I was able to test this out with two locked phones from fido. A sony xperia U and a blackberry 9360.
They both worked fine. I'm not sure if all newer fido phones work or just these two. if anyone else got their SO sim to work on another locked fido phone post it here so people would find out thanks.

Tried my Petro SIM in two Fido phones: An older Siemens and a Nokia 2720.

Neither worked.

How about Fido's Nokia C6 on Speakout, has anyone tried that?

I have no way to test it, but it would be a good bet that the Fido Nokia C6 would work with Speakout. I know the Nokia C3 works with all carriers that use Rogers towers.

If the phone is locked to Fido, most likely it will not work on Speakout.

Rogers and Fido use different SIMs. On the SIM the
Mobile Network Code identifies the carrier. Rogers uses a mobile network code of 720 and Fido uses 370. Speakout and Petro-Canada use the same MNC as Rogers.
