Has anyone used Speakout with these phones? If so you can you comment on your reception (preferrably in the GTA)
I know all these devices suport the relevant frequencies and take regular SIM card but sometimes you can't just go on the specs.
A while back when I was attracted to HTC Hero & Legend, I read on this board how a few people weren't getting a signal except in certain places - apparently the phone treated 2G as an afterthought so it had 0 bars in areas with weak 3G coverage.
I also read here how people with Rogers issued Corby Touch couldn't make outbound callas with SpeakOut, so I thought I should solicit first hand experiences.

Stay away from the Samsung Wave. It has an oddball OS and you will get no support from it. I shutter to think on how you can configure it to work with Speakout.
The Nokia C7, on the other hand, should work very well with the Speakout voice and browsing. It has some nice apps, though the OS is on it's way to being obsolete. If you are going to get it for a good price I think you will be happy with it. Being a nokia phone, it should be a good phone, the maps application is pretty good.
