Symbian vs ios vs android 2.2 + | Phone/Device Issues and Features | Consumer forum

Extremely lost. I'm torn between buying Nokia E5, iphone 3gs , Lg Optimus one. Seriously confused

Actually i like to get a touchscreen phone (though i hate txting on it) but my main concern is which platform is most compatible with SO. I have read and researched countless threads that android (even 2.2) and ios will be heavily under utilized using with SO. (10 dollar data plan)

Some of the best features on these type of phones are the real time updates (weather, google maps) that won't work with 10 dollar unlimited data. I know the phone on bonus could be used as a personal gadget but that won't matter unless it works well with SO plan (especially data plan compatibility)

I haven't heard many bad reviews with people who possess E71 phones. Symbian apparently works extremely smoothly with SO and ability to utilize data.

My only beef with symbian platform is that it is outdated looking and functioning. Maybe thats why its so stable??

Maybe someone who has had some experience with variety of phone platforms can let me know which one they feel work best with SO. In addition as SO network improves hopefully will it be more compatible with android and ios? Is symbian near being obsolete platform in the next few years?
