As far as I know, all T-Mobile phones are locked, so a SO sim will not work in one.

T-mobile phones are apparently easy to unlock, to do so, adds from $0 to $10 to the cost.

Out of interest, what is the policy on selling unlock codes on the forum? I ask because you're a moderator.

If you have had the phone for 3 months (even on T-Mobile prepaid) they will unlock it for you for free in a T-Mobile store, just take it in and ask.

I know from experience

Bought the T Mobile Blackberry 7230 from Factory Direct worked just fine when I put in the sim card.

When I did it, they plugged it into a machine in the shop - so I'm guessing they wont do it over the phone. You could try though.
