Hi,
Me and my wife live in Nova Scotia, but she's heading to Alberta before April 30 this year. She has a Speakout phone from way back, but would need to buy a new SIM for it, as it's completely expired. She only uses it when she visits Alberta, as she registers the SIM to be a local number in Alberta.
On my side, I have an iPhone that is currently registered with PetroCanada Mobility with a local Nova Scotia number, and I'd like to port my number over to Speakout and use that instead of PC Mobility.
So here's the plan I've envisioned. First she buys the SIM card from Speakout, gets the $25 bonus on the $100 voucher she's going to buy, and uses it in Alberta. Then she comes home, takes the SIM out of the phone, gives it to me--she doesn't need it anymore. I cut it down to size, put it in my iPhone for use.
My question is, at that point, can I re-register her SIM card for use in my own iPhone? And then not only port my number onto that SIM card, but also keep the existing funds that are on the SIM?
