Purchased Alcatel OnetouchModel A392A on Dec 24th along with a Sim card and $50.00 airtime from 711 Store.
When try to activate the sim/phone message says the IMEI is incorrect I am using the number on the box.
Phoned the Support # for SO Canada but only get a busy signal or if I get through I am directed to contact Alcatel website which is no help at all.
Short of returning the phone to the store what can I do.
Your advice is welcome.

I would return to 7-11 and get another SIM card. If they hassle you, return the phone.

The IMEI number should also be on a sticker often found under the battery. Compare it to the one printed on the box.
