i have an iphone 4 locked to bell and just found out that bell unlocks their phones for a $75 fee. will it work with a cut down SO sim card once it's unlocked?

yes

mine is using gevey and works just fine. though 75 sounds a bit too expensive.

agreed, $75 is a little steep but i have read a lot of conflicting information about whether an unlocked bell phone will work on the rogers/so network (HSPA+ vs GSM, updating the iphone os rendering the unlock useless, etc., etc.) so I'd rather pay extra to get it done legitimately and correctly.
i've never heard of gevey so will be looking into that. thanks.

the phone would definitely work once unlocked.

If it is a new iphone 4, gevey is out of question due to baseband change. If it works, it is about 10-20 bucks.

it needs to be 4.10.xx in order to use gevey
