I have been exploring the use of Opera Mini on an unlocked Blackberry 9000 equipped with a Speakout SIM. This application works well when the phone connects using the WiFi. When the device is limited to the Rogers wireless connection, it supports a web search using the blackberry browser, but the Opera Mini application will not work (connection failed message). Any suggestions?

does opera mini support proxy settings? If so, select a http proxy server, enter 10.128.1.69 as the IP and make sure you use port 80. I would guess you have to remove the proxy settings when back on wifi, but I do not know much about the blackberry.

I tried to use Opera Mini on my Nokia E71 and it didn't run properly so I downloaded Opera Mobile 10 instead and it worked great. Once installed I selected Rogers Media under Advanced settings to choose that connection by default.
