I just got a Nokia 2760. The FAQ says that you can't use a Speakout phone in Europe because it is the wrong bandwidth, 850/1900. But the Nokia site says that only the US version is 850/1900. I'm confused.

Read post #29 in the FAQ on the home page of this site. That FAQ will explain it.

North American GSM bands are 850/1900
European GSM bands are 900/1800

The Canadian Nokia site is wrong in this case, and might have copy and pasted the information from the Nokia European site.

Nokia sells 2 versions of the same phone, just to be retardedly confusing. Another model number would be too easy. The phone is also locked, so that and the different frequencies pretty much make it useless in Europe.
