I recently purchased the CDMA sanyo phones at 7-11 (in the U.S.) because of the claim in the brochure (and on the box) that you can browse the internet. The phone seems to have the "press & talk" function working, but not the web. Anyone have any luck getting this feature going?
Also, if they can offer web access via the CDMA phone (sprint) why not with the GSM phones as well? I think it's time for a new roll-out of some new GSM phones that have web access!
Until then, I hope that I can get the web runing on the sanyo, that's the main reason I purchased the phone.
Any tips would be appreciated.

Just wanted to add that I have found out that the brochure offered by 7-11 that clearly stated that WEB ACCESS was available with the sanyo/sprint plan.... was false advertising. Web access is NOT available (customer service stated that it MIGHT be available this summer).
Also, it looks like the "press and talk" service charges your account .50 cents per day even if you don't use the feature at all. Boost mobile has a much better plan that charges you $1.50 per day -ONLY- on the day that you use the feature (with unlimited use on that day).
I was also told that to fully disable the feature and to stop being charged the .50 cents per day, you have to request it from customer service, AND they will need to help you reprogram your phone.
So, there wasn't really any need for me to buy the sanyo phone at all. The feature that I really wanted isn't even available (even though it is CLEARLY stated in the brochure) and was used by 7-11 as a selling point of the new service. Also, I purchased TWO sanyo phones so that me and my girlfriend could talk with "press and talk" the press and talk feature, but it just ISN'T worth it at .50 cents PER DAY, EVERY DAY.
Buyer beware!

Well, yes, the brochure says:
Text Messaging and Wireless Web service are automatically included on your rate plan for no monthly charge.
But they seem to cover their butts by adding:
Certain advanced digital features are not available.
I presume that means Web Access.
