What's my Nokia C3-00 'Waiting' for?

Since I bought it a week ago, my Nokia C3-00 has shown "Waiting" on the home screen, as shown in the image below. I even spent the $10 for data access to see if the message would change, but it hasn't. I hate the idea of resetting the factory settings to see if it would change, but that's my last step. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I would call SpeakOut customer service to see if they have a clue, or have heard about it happening before.

i have seen people mentioning it before for C3, if you can try to replace it with a new one or as you said do a reset.

BTW, one thing I found strange is that C3 sometimes behave oddly if the clock is not set properly so try that as well(if you haven't)

I just googled "Nokia C3 Waiting" and a lot of info came up about it. Looks like you're not the only one.

Thanks...I was thinking it was a Speakout specific issue which is why I asked here...but if it is a C3 issue, maybe I'll trade up to the C5 since I've only had it a week.

As for the clock suggestion mentioned above, I have it on auto set from the carrier.

I've heard someone say it may be trying to connect to wi-fi instead of the wap that the data plan uses. I'm not sure if that's correct or not. If it is, I'd say to power off, reseat the battery and power on to try and clear it. Then try accessing web, being certain to select the WAP option.
