I'm a new speakout customer, and I was looking at this forum to get a $10 refferal code credit.
My first look into the forum found Ali's thread:
and his obvious attempt to 'spread the wealth' to all refferers/offerers/coders and not just to those who troll.
Given the fact that he just started, I'm pretty sure that he hasn't been emailing everybody offering codes, so to pay him back for him asking for a code on this forum in an attempt at a fair manner, I got him (coder) to give me a code (codee).
So I propose that if you are handing out codes and getting credits on this forum, the only fair thing for you to do is to declare them so that people can decide if you're a 'hog' (my words) or not, and decide for themselves if you are worthy for a 'coder credit'
If you are looking for a code as a codee, I propose that you look for the {CODER} tag in the topic line, email the person directly, AND post in the thread that you asked for the code. Something small like, [PM sent]
The Coder should then send the code to the Codee via email, AND post in the Coder's thread that a code was sent to the Codee. Again, something small like [PM sent]
Once the Codee uses the code, they should post back in the Coder's thread to give thanks and let the Coder and everyone else know that the code worked.
From that point on, if the Codee wants to get Coder credits, the Codee can start their own new thread acknowledging their new activation, and their new status as 'Coder', ready to give out new refferal codes.
So check out my next message on this thread as a start to hopefully a new fairer system.

Removed by admin: Sorry, the forum rules state that you cannot create a post offering a referral code; you can only ask for a code.

So I stopped reading your post about half way through because it was nonsense. That and the fact that you are not suppose to start threads to declare that you have codes to give (as written in the forum rules). If you are emailing someone just because they just activated their phone (from receiving a code), it is the same as emailing them because they made a thread saying they have codes to give away.

Hi Pi,
I selected you for the code but you were not patient enough to wait for some time and offered same to someone else, and when i tried to use your one that was already used up. It look like that you are one or may be same user who is leeching all the codes
And requesting someone for a code is not the same as posting "you have a code".
fefrie used my code and i appreciate that because as newbie, i would never expect to beat professional like you.
What we are trying to do just create a fair system, where everyone have a chance to get it.

Hi Pi314,
is this the same Pi314 reffered to as 'Pi' in this thread:
where Ali reffered to Pi in the following quote:
Ali said:
Hi pi
I tried to use your code and CSR told me that it is already used up, look like you want more bucks quickly so you didn't waited to offer teh same to someone else.
Anyhow, i used the next person's code and it was from RuralOtt
Thanks guys
Ali
It must be, because it is obvious that you are trolling the forums so that you can email a code to them as soon as they pop up on your RSS feed.
It seems to me that you are emailing every new code request with the same code.
How bout this? How bout you just email one person per code, and when it gets used, you can get another code and email one person (not five) with that code.
Of course you'll just create a new ID pretending to be a new person to email spam more people with new codes. At least I am trying to create discussion to keep the code refferal system fair. You can troll all you want still, but with this system at least, people can decide if they want to work together with someone who's benefited only once (like I did for Ali) as a new subscriber, or you who's probably trolled a couple of hundred dollars.
So what is it 'Pi'? How much in refferal bonuses have you garnered?
Moderator, if i'm out of line, please lock this thread, and make it a sticky, and if you want to keep the worst from trolling on this forum, such as this 'pi' then I also recommend that you ban the posting of code requests and offers, of which of course is probably frowned upon by speakout anyways.
ps, to address your point Pi, that my first post was too long and too confusing for you to read; It is not my fault that you have a short attention span and an insufficient reading comprehension level. I'll hope that you won't put the effort into reading my posts, and you can be sure that I will not respond to your replies in the future. Thanks

Pi did have a point because the sticky rule clearly state this:
Quote:
- You cannot create posts offering referrals on this site (basically, no "E-mail me to get a code" messages; only "I am looking for a code. Please e-mail one to me.").
End Quote
And multiple people could response to that same offer

Hey, I'm just trying to keep it fair. You definitely can't accuse me of leeching.
If Pi wants to spam email people with the same code to supplement his 12k/yr income, then fine sure, no problem. It's a free market right? But that also allows me to put a wrench in his works too right? So I will.
So I propose that further requests for a code DO NOT include the requester's email address. Instead, people who wish to provide a code must post their offer in the same thread of the code requester. Once a list populates on the thread, the requester can PM a random person and get a code. Once the transaction is complete, the code receiver can post in their thread who won the 'lottery'
This way, you can see who is trolling on the threads and everything is open and transparent. People have to register to apply for the 'lottery' and you won't have 'guests' lurking in the forums.

If someone can come up with a better method they should really contact the site owner. Discussing methods here accomplishes nothing other than maybe venting.
The rules on this site regarding asking or giving referrals:
- You can ask for a referral on this site. Simply post your e-mail address (something like "yourname AT domain DOT com" to avoid spambots) asking for one as a new topic in this forum.
- You cannot create posts offering referrals on this site (basically, no "E-mail me to get a code" messages; only "I am looking for a code. Please e-mail one to me."). You must check this this forum and then e-mail people. Once you have e-mailed a referral code to someone, please create a reply to the relevant topic saying that you have done so.
