I just read a disappointing review of the Nokia 1680 on Steve Punter's Southern Ontario Cell Phone page.
While most of the other cellphone review sites are full of crap that basically list in their own words what the phone manufacturer lists in their brochure, Steven Punter writes great reviews of cell phones (as many as he can get his hands on) that focus on the real-life use of the phone, quality of the reception, sound reproduction, etc. You know, how good the phone is at making actual phone calls instead of listing a bunch of superfluous features.
Unfortunately, the 1680 did not fare too well. For those of us that were planning on eventually upgrading to a 1680 (like me), you might want to read this first.

I have the 1680 for some time now, I only use it rarely which suites the phones nicely, the buttons are quite small and cheap the 1 mega pixel camera is bad, the cable you use to attach to your computer is very rare and would have to be ordered online, I went into many phone shops asking for that cable. The battery is really good, a lithium one, that will last me over 2 weeks on standby. The screen color is a bit "grainy". The speakout plan itself is really good in my view tho. If only they had better phones.
