My Pros:
1. 20รยข/min Local Calls ['no-brainer'- beats the competition, except Petro-Can!]
2. Every top-up denomination lasts for 365 days and can carry forward [fair to low usage consumers].
3. Network - Runs "on the full Rogers footprint"
4. Can use your 'unlocked' GSM [850/1900] phone of choice by swapping out SIM's.
5. USA text messaging - 10รยข
My Cons:
1. No voice messaging.
2. "You cannot make calls with your Canadian 7-Eleven Speak Out Wireless phone if you are in the US." [Peter, is this the case if you are using a Quad-Band phone?]
3. Limited choice of Speak Out phones.

From what I know, the answer is no... it doesn't have to do with the bands -- more of a "Speak Out hasn't brokered deals to roam on these networks"?
That may be because in Canada SpeakOut uses a mobile virtual network operator or MVNO (Ztar) while in the US they use an operator who owns their network directly (AT&T.) From what I've read, a SpeakOut US customer can even buy topup airtime and manage their account from AT&T's website.
This is phone dependent. Please ask your question in the phone features forum.

I listed 'No voice messaging' as a con due to the fact that the Nokia 2760 [purchased for my mother] has a voice recorder which would make sending a voice message quite a bit easier than a text for those with slow thumbs or weaker vision [esp when configured to 'navigation shortcuts'] . Perhaps Multi Media Messaging will be added as more customers come on board.
Say, Peter, who won your contest?
