- GSM (easy to swap simcard)
- 365 days expiry for a $25 refill
- free to check voice mail from land line
- free phone promotions
- unlocked phones
- 0.05 SMS text messages
- its using Rogers expanded network
- easy to check account balance (button press instead of voice recognition)
- lastly because I live close by 7-eleven so its easy for me to get a refill

disadvantages
- no wap/data support
- cannot just buy sim cards
- no unlimited calls plan like some prepaid
