Most of my friends use BB and i just recently got an iphone. I was told that an app called Whats app is the same as BBM. Any one used it before? Any other suggestions?

There isn't an app to get iPhones on the BB network unfortunately. Apps like "Whats App" are basically texting programs that allow you to text other users that have that program for free. BBM is a service that is run by blackberry and will only ever run on their phones, unless they decide to open it up to other users. But, that isn't likely to ever happen.
