Hi
I read on this site that one needs to use a Quadband unlocked GSM phone which can be used in Asia or N. America.
suggested to purchase a Motorola Razr phone.
My understanding is that it is available for $60 or so.
Where is it available for that price. Please let me know
Instead of trying to unlock my 2760 SO - which i thought i could also use it in Asia with a local sim if i needed to. i could purchase the Motorola Razr

Good thing you're not bring the Nokia 2760 to Asia - it only has the North American GSM bands.

Have you looked into how much phones cost in whatever country you're going to?

The big advantage of getting a quadband phone here is that you only need to carry one phone and AC charger (and if you also have a notebook PC then you only need a USB charging cable), then swap SIMs as you go. If you store contacts and phone numbers in the phone rather than on the SIMs then you can preprogram them before you leave.

In addition, with a single phone you automatically know how to use it, including features like camera and MP3 player, etc. If you buy a phone locally it and its instructions may not even be in English.

Thank you all for your suggestions
I have a panasonic GD 88 GSM phone which i bought many years from Rogers, But when travelling overseas in buses it is hard to hear what the person is saying - someone said it may be the speaker. To fix this problem i can almost buy a new phone. But like that phone so am debating which route to take.
