I have an iPhone 4G that runs well on my Canadian SO service. I am in Florida for the winter and I have subscribed to SpeakOut USA service for voice and data. Voice service is working fine but data is not. I have called SpeakOut USA customer service and they referred me to Apple for problem resolution but Apple doesn't seem to have anything related to SpeakOut even though SpeakOut USA runs on AT&T network. SpeakOut USA customer service assures me that data service is active. I suspect that I need a new iPhone configuration file but don't know where/how to find it. The error message that I am getting is "Could not activate cellular data network. You are not subscribed to a cellular data service." Display is showing 3G beside SpeakOut icon so I suspect that it is picking up something from somewhere. Any suggestions out there??

The only thing you can do is call speakout and ask them what the APN settings are. If you are able to figure them out, you will have to create a profile using your iPhone configuration tool. A good first step would be to delete the canadian profile that you have on your phone, as you have no hope of getting it to work with a Rogers APN installed.

From a t-mobile site
If you have one of those phones from overseas that looks like an iphone, here is how to set it up for Internet and Picture Messaging:
To setup the picture messaging data Profile:
From the Main Screen select either Network or Services, then Data Account , then GPRS.
Create or Edit an Empty Profile (or edit a current profile and change the setting to this):
……..therefore you should be able to have multiple profiles and choose BUT as mentioned you need the settings for ATT. If not signup with tmo and their settings are online.

Good news to report. I managed to connect with someone at SO USA who was able to provide iphone configuration settings and I have data working. If anyone needs the settings, I can provide details as of Dec 10, 2010. PM me pls
