I recently cancelled Rogers and have 2 Motorolas (V551 and V635) that I want to keep and put, preferably Petro Can, sims into. Any problems anticipated? Any problems possible with 7-11 sims? Would the best solution be to buy the Nokia 1208s and use their sims?
I also plan to get T-Mobile sims in the US, as I spend 6 months south and 6 months north. I've searched everywhere and the only convenient way to go is to have 2 sets of sims with their respective prepaid plans. They conveniently sell the sims separately, not like in Canada.
We sure get ripped off on cell plans in Canada, compared to US prices!

7-11 and PetroCan sims will work in the Rogers phones. The phones are locked to the Rogers network, but 7-11 and PetroCan sims act like a Rogers sim.
You can buy the sims along with a Nokia phone at a 7-11 or PetroCan (whichever one you plan on going with) and that way you can have a spare, unlocked Nokia phone.
You can buy your sims from people off this board, which will cost a bit less than getting a new phone/sim combo.
The only way you can do what you want is to buy the respective sims from both Speakout/PetroCan and T-mobile.
To use your T-mobile sims in the Rogers Motorola phones you will need to unlock them. Or you can buy the a couple of phones from T-Mobile.
As for the phones being quad-band, that's fine. Basically the North American cellphone companies use 2 different bands, and in Europe and other parts of the world use a different 2 bands. Your quad-band Motorolas can work in both N.America and Europe.

If I unlock the phoes, can I still use them with Petro Can or 7 -11?
Where can I get them unlocked?

I'm a newbie to this site so please excuse me for asking for clarification on the topic of Sim Cards.
I have an excellent old Nokia 3120 cell phone that I would hate to give up. From what I understand and please correct me if I'm wrong I can buy a cheap Petro Can cell phone and install the SIM card from that phone in my Rogers 3120 and it will work on the Petro Can system with no problem?
Any help on this issue will be appreciated
