The SO tel. no. says that for activation your require:
1. code from inside box
2. store number

How do you get these if you purchase your SO SIM from a third party who might not have this info?

If the SIM card is not activated, you need to get it from whoever you buy it from because otherwise you won't be able to activate it but you if buy an activated one, then it doesn't matter.

OK thanks, I didn't know this.
So if someone buys a replacement SIM card from SO and doesn't activate it and chooses to sell it, you could be in a spot?
Is there a way to tell if the card has been activated when you are buying it?

TIA

P.S. I sure am glad I was good at math otherwise I could never post here. 🙂

There are countless ways a seller could screw you over. Fortunately, there is not much money to be made on a $25 scam. Faith and good vibes tend to rule most transactions. Fortunately, that seems to be enough. 🙂 As Ronny Raygun once said, "Trust, but verify!"
