Hi.
My parents (not tech-savvy) will be travelling to Canada soon, and require a SIM card.
How easy is it to activate the SpeakOut service?
I plan to have it shipped to their hotel, and from the website, I will likely buy a SIM plus some top up money.
Are the activation steps easy?
What are the steps?
I want to ensure they get themselves subscribed to the 1GB data plan.
Is it simply putting the SIM card into the phone, enter some codes to get it activated and subscribed to the $15 plan + 1GB data?
Or they need to call and talk to someone, or even online access to register and subscribe to plans?
Many Thanks
Brian

activiation needs to be done online(not sure if it needs SMS confirmation to be sent to the phone) or via voice call through the unactivated phone/sim.
i don't think there is 1GB data unless you also subscribe to montly plan which means you need to put 50 dollar balance then subscribe that.
personally, i would say get the sim send to your address then activate it online before the trip(assuming no SMS confirmation is needed). Then it is just put in the sim when they arrive.
edit:
or you can do as you planned but asist them to do the activation online when they are in the hotel.
