I'm thinking about getting a second phone for work related texting and calls. I was just wondering what name and number shows up on the phone of the person I'm texting/calling if it's not registered to a name. Does it just show the phone number of the phone assigned out of the box with no name or what?

It will just show the number of the person calling since no name is associated with the number.

So, when you buy the voucher and activate the phone, you don't have to have the account in any name? What if you want to have your name displayed to the recipient of your call?

No, you do not have to put a name to the account. I never did. If you want your name displayed to the recipient of the call, then your name/number must be included in their phonebook on the sim card/phone.

you don't need to provide your personal information to SO in order to use the service.

So only your number appears on the other person's phone?

Yes, unless your name is in the person's address book.
