Instead of activating an old phone (and you can't with the 2125i anyways) I'd recommend taking advantage of Speakout's current promo (good until the end of July).
If you buy $100 worth of airtime (which can last you up to a year, or longer) you can buy a phone and SIM for $30 or $40 (depending on which phone you want).
It's much easier and probably cheaper than unlocking an old GSM phone. If you buy a SIM from someone, it'll probably cost you about $30, plus it'll probably cost you something to unlock a GSM phone.

Again, he stated he has a Nokia 2125i, which is a CDMA phone. It is not possible to unlock it. Unlocking is only possible with most GSM phones.
