Can you setup call forwarding to a freephoneline call?

The best thing about freephoneline is that the send your VM by e-mail as an mp3, which, presumably, Speak Out doesn't offer?

Does it cause a deduction in prepaid balance to access VM from the cell phone, or from a land line?

You currently cannot forward calls with Speakout.

Accessing your voicemail counts as a call and will be deducted from your account. However, if you access your voicemail from a landline, it's free.

Does anyone knows if Speakout has a toll free number to access the voicemail? I know they have a general voicemail number but it is a 647 number.

According to the FAQ, there are local numbers you can dial and the FAQ lists them for Vancouver and Toronto. The FAQ has a link to Rogers but it's broken.
Here's a link with more local Rogers voicemail numbers listed:
http://forums.redflagdeals.com.....rs-559653/

I tried the listed 1-877-643-7786. I can get to where I hear my voice message and press # but then nothing…

dial your speakout numbers and you will get to your vm and press #
then enter your password and you can access your voicemail

that's how I check my voicemail from land line so it won't cost 25 cents LOL

Well, that's what I do I can't get to my e-mail, for freephoneline, only I find that it's harder and harder to find landlines.

Thanks for the info.

How long are messages saved on the SpeakOut system?

I know you can access your vm via landline by dialing your mobile number or the 647 vm system number. The 647 number is better in that you do not have to wait for your phone to stop ringing before vm option. The 647 gets you directly into the vm system where you enter your 10 digit mobile number then your password and you are into your vm.

What would be really awesome would be a toll free number to access vm. You can check your voicemail anywhere for free. On top of that I can use Skype through UMB and dial toll free number absolutely free without credit.

I am a thrifty user, that is why I am on Speakout and if there is any way to save money I am all for it.

Anyway, just food for thought since Speakout does not have a toll free voicemail number.

since freephoneline/dell voice allows you to dial canada number for free, why not just use it to dial the 647 number ?

i BTW use google voice to check my SO voice mail.

Right, I use skype, actually, when at home. However, when I'm not at home, I would *like* to use e-mail.
