I have a voicemail notification that won't go away, even though I have no voicemail waiting. I tried the usual measures like leaving myself another voicemail and then erasing it, and forcibly clearing the notification on my Android phone, but it just comes back as soon as I reconnect to Speakout. Any other ideas for getting rid of it?
Nevermind: leaving another voicemail does seem to have cleared it - it just took 30 minutes or so.

I've been having this exact issue for months. Leaving a new voice mail hasn't fixed it for me. I've tried disabling/enabling the VMWI under Personal Options, but it hasn't helped. On my phone I can't even dismiss the notification without also blocking the entire phone app from creating notifications... Any other ideas?

I had this too recently...tried various DIY methods mentioned here but nogo so I called customer service.
Very pleasant and helpful, when I finally got through .
Tip? I was told it is easier to troubleshoot the problem if I called in from another phone line -not the affected one. Perhaps this is because their first advice was to reboot the phone... This might best be extended to removing the battery - a really cold boot in other words.
However, I don't have another phone line, so the easy solution in my case was to delete the voicemail account. This suited me pretty well as it's no big deal to restart it from the phone.
Tip? ...but if you have existing voicemails you want to keep, you should maybe take a note of important ones before calling customer service
