Hey,
I have been using speakout for some time (years). I don't use the 7-eleven phones I use my unlocked Nokia 6106 originally from Rogers.
The problem is that starting about a year ago or so if I receive a local call (or any call) the number on the caller ID is preceded by a + and a 1. example: +1andthenumber.
If I pick up, I get charged $5 immediately! Every minute is like $10 or $15 DOLLARS to talk.
I used to have issues making calls in the same way but now I make sure I don't have + symbol in front of anyone's number in my contact list. That fixed me calling people.
The problem is that I can't receive calls because I can't stop incoming phone calls from having a + symbol in front of them and this means that I get charged like $25 to $35 per phone call.
Does anyone know how to fix this "+" symbol issue?
