Well, I've got a little bit of a problem.

I'd like to port my SpeakOut number to Wind Mobile to get the $150 port-in credit. However, I'd also like to keep the SpeakOut SIM active so I can give it to my mother (SO is perfect for her because she would uses <$25 airtime/year).

Do you guys think there's be a way to pull that off?

If not, I guess the other option would be to buy SpeakOut SIM from someone on this forum. What's the going rate for a SIM? Also, I currently have a $20 balance on my account. Would there be a way to transfer my balance over to another SIM before I port?

Thanks for your help.

I don't really know. I would be shocked if speakout would not allow you to get another number with the same account. You would be better off talking to a speakout CSR. than us! 🙂

Once your SpeakOut number is ported to WIND, your SpeakOut SIM (and account) will be deactivated. As for going rates for SIM cards. they always vary. Check the Phone Exchange forum to see if one is available. Lastly, airtime is not transferable. It is attached to whatever number the balance was added to, and if you port your number to WIND, any balance on that account would be lost.
