Sorry if this is in the wrong forum; I was unsure where to put it.

Is there any website or database that shows you what is considered a long distance call either within (Kitchener waterloo 519 to London 519 is LD even though it's the same area code) or between (Toronto 416 to Mississauga 905 is local but to Hamilton 905 is LD) area codes?

I would pick up the phone and try, but I'm moving shortly and there are a few cities (that are definitely LD for me now but questionable for me later) that I'm interested in determining their LD status.

I have a database. We use this to find out if we need to dial long distance when setting up backup modems to dial to modem banks in cities across North America.

Let me know the area codes and the first 3 digits of the number you are calling from and calling to and I'll check them for you.

See this thread for more information. Supposedly, on Speak Out, calls within the same area code are all treated as local calls.

519-271 (Stratford, ON) to 519-667 (London, ON) is a long distance call.

Is the database for regular land-line phones? Because cell companies don't always go by the same geographical "rules".
