Hi all, my son's 7 month old lg android phone died. Its under warrenty from lg for 1 year so I called them up. They told me to return it to my wireless service provider, I told them it was 711 and I doubt they'll know what your talking about but he insisted to return in there. Well of course they don't know what I'm talking about so does anyone have a suggestion for my next course of action?

All depends where you bought it, and if you still have the receipt. Since SpeakOut does not sell that phone, you might be able to return it to the manufacturer (with proof of purchase). You might get a different answer from LG if you talk to someone else, but it all comes down to where & when you bought it.

Though not suprised, I am pretty disgusted with Future shop and the way they handled this. Way to pass the buck! It is really Future shop's issue, and I would make a note of this if you ever want to buy something again from Future shop. If they do not service what they sell, don't buy from them again!
It is an LG phone, and there seems to be a 1 year warranty. You should get better results here. Might as well return the LG phone with the telus sim card.

7-11 really has nothing to do with this problem. Their SIM seems to work fine, from all accounts.
Dumb question, is this phone still locked?
Don't worry about the imei, The account is tied to the SIM card, not the phone.
