Hey, go the new nexus 4 and I cut down my speakout sim card with help of this template thing and bingo, works great.
Google maps, gmail app, google play and most apps seem to be working without rooting and auto proxy, pretty stoked, I don't use alot of data anyway but it most things are working. Getting Hspa+ speeds and all is good.
Except on my old htc desire I could wifi hotspot with my laptop for a bit of tethering no probelm, all i did is put the apn settings in the browsers.
So right now I am having to put my sim back in my blackberry 9700 where i have no problem using bluetooth as to tether it up, so I am sick of switching sims back and forth.
Anyone have any ideas why this isn't working or if it is jelly bean the problem or the nexus 4.
I don't feel like rooting the n4 as i got it all set up and don't want to void warranty on this phone.
Ps, i was setting up some crap with koodo and after being hold for hours with clueless reps, I goota say i love speakout and the girls are nice onthe phone, and answer quick. I hope they leave the unlimited browsing as is, as it is great service, i would have to switch if they did.
I don't use more than the 2 gigs fair use thing, i don't want to ruin it for us.

Tethering with SO is against the rules.
From the official site:
"-Eleven SpeakOut Wireless Unlimited web add on cannot be used: (1) for access to the Internet, intranets, or other data networks except as the device’s native applications and capabilities permit, or (2) for any applications that tether your device to laptops or personal computers other than for the use of Wireless Synch."
Please read and understand the rules BEFORE you post.
