I bought an airtime voucher for $25 last month, and have left it in my pocket until I needed to use it. Problem is the first two sets of numbers in the activation number have faded and become illegible. Is there anyway to use the information on my voucher (i.e. serial number, authorization number, etc) to find out what the activation number is?

Have you tried calling the SO customer service number?

If that doesn't help, you can always try all 100 2-number combinations. 🙂

Ouch! I would guess that they could verify from the parts you can still read, that is hasn't already been used. And if so hopefully they could fix it. Not all customer service reps are created equal, though, and this is probably not a typical request, so if the CSR says no, ask to speak to supervisor who might know how. If that doesn't work, try calling again! The next two people might know. I doubt there's a special transform that anyone without access to the Speakout database could use to translate the numbers though.

Good luck, and let us know how it comes out!

Most of the receipts of the large companies like Future Shop, London Drug, Canadian Tire after some months will faded. But I could use a large magnifier to see what they were. Would you try to do it?
