Hi, I am trying to use a fido sim in a speak out nokia 2760 and when I power up the phone it says phone restricted, I'm assuming its locked? how do I unlock it? I have asked several service providers but no one seems to know how to unlock speakout phones... please help, thanks

I think you are SOL for the time being. I tried to get a speakout Nokia 1661 unlocked, and no one could unlock it. If it was a Rogers 1661, no problem.

Unfortunately, all those current SIM-locked models at SpeakOut Wireless CANNOT be unlocked easily like in the old days with DCT-3 and DCT-4 generations Nokia. Code calc, buying codes from unlockers will NOT come up with many MVNOs like SpeakOut.

If you are Fido subscribers, Fido does offer Nokia 2760 and 1661 at comparable price (prepaid kit or no contract purchase).
