My question is:
I want to buy a used 6086 Nokia (previous on Rogers network) with new SIM included (still wrapped) and get the SO plan. Do I need to get a SO SIM altogether or just the plan at the 7-11 store? Will I be assigned a new phone number or will I use the one that the previous owner had on this Nokia?
Thanks

To use SO, you must use a SO sim. Your identity on the network is tied to the sim. You can buy a sim in the "Phone Exchange" forum on this site, as they are regularly bought and sold there. 7-Eleven stores do not sell just sims, so you would have to buy the package.

Since we're not Speak Out reps, we don't like to say "for sure", but I have not yet heard of a case where a locked Rogers phone didn't work with a Speak Out SIM.
